Who's this dude?

I hear you loud and clear; I ask myself the same question sometimes. Regardless, my name is Mitch Donaberger. I live in the great state of Pennsylvania, and I'm a long-time, all-around nerd with a little too much time on his hands. But, I'm a pretty regular guy that loves to do pretty regular things and trying to become a better cartoonist in the process.

I like movies, trades, video games and doing things to make people smile without knowing it. I grew up in Philadelphia, and I started developing an interest in cartooning when I was in public school. When you're not paying attention to class, you've gotta pay attention to something, right? So I focused on a piece of paper. In lieu of any artistic training, I just stared at the cartooning work of my idols and wondered where they got the skill from. It wasn't until I read a book about Charles Schulz - my favorite artist of all time - that I realized that most, if not all cartoonists get good by just doing what they want to do all the time.

I'll draw for as many people and as many places that are willing to give me the time of day. As a result, I've ended up on publications like DS Fanboy, 4 Color Rebellion, The Point Park Globe, The Mother 3 Fan Translation blog and stuff I've drawn has even showed up on display at Nintendo of America's headquarters and on the top stories on Digg! Sweet!

Do I want to be a career artist? Maybe. What I know I do want is to keep using any skills or inspiration I have to express myself and keep trying to make people (and myself) happy. It's in my blood.

So, that's me.
